Microsoft Office - Basic
Learn how to;
  • retrieve files, edit text, format text, insert graphics,use spreadsheets for personal or business use
  • create spreadsheets containing text, numbers and formulas
  • create effective and powerful screen slide shows

Microsoft Office - Intermediate
Learn how to;
  • create templates, manage table data, creat form letters and manage document changes
  • customize workbooks, work with multiple data sources, use charts and graphic objects to enhance worksheets
  • build an design templates to apply to an existing presentation.
  • create slides with special effects and run various slide showsBretrieve files, edit text, format text, insert graphics,use spreadsheets for personal or business use
  • create spreadsheets containing text, numbers and formulas

Introduction to Computers & Internet
This 'hands on' course is designed to comfortably introduce you to the world of computers. The course will ;
  • expose you to the many benefits and uses of the computer and the internet. 
  • explain the difference between hardware and software, IT, terminology, navigating start menu applications, programs (MS Office), basic file management, computer selection and maintenance & shortcuts.
  • show you how to use the Internet Browser effectively.  Topics include: Internet Service Provider, web terminology, search engines, refining searches, book marking, virus protection, sending e-mails and files

   Webpage Design
In this course students will learn the basics of designing and developing a web site using Wordpress, Joomla and Adobe Fireworks software.  It is geared towards those with little to no experience, but more advanced users can benefit from the course as well.  Upon finalizing the course, users will have a full functioning website.  The course will look at :
  • design issues
  • web page layout
  • effective navigation
  • design process

Computers for Seniors
Computers for Seniors is an 8 week program that has been developed for seniors interested in computers the internet and email training.  
This program will help;
  • seniors become comfortable with the computer, feel self sufficient, decrease isolation, and create relationships with other seniors and youth in the community.
  • teach seniors how to communicate with family and friends who use computers in their day to day lives, how to search websites and compose emails and word processing.
  • allows seniors to interact electronically through email and the internet and will help seniors gain and work on skills that will enable them to stay connected, not just with family and friends, but with other seniors as they learn computer skills and techniques.
